Jenn Hladick and her husband moved to New Canaan in 2007. Jenn and her husband have two boys entering 9th and 11th grade at New Canaan High School. She stopped working in the field of Social Services and Education when her oldest was born, but has had a part time position at the Carriage Barn Arts Center for several years. Jenn and her family loves living in New Canaan and she has had a wonderful time contributing to the community that has given so much to her family.
Jenn believes her background in education, her volunteer experience in the New Canaan Schools and wider community, and her perspective as a parent of children attending NCPS, have given her the skills necessary to be an effective member of the Board of Education. She has the highest admiration for our school system, which lives up to its reputation as a jewel of our community. This past pandemic school year has reminded us of how truly lucky we are. Regardless of our national political leanings, she is convinced that what the people of New Canaan want is high achieving public schools that are able to meet the diverse needs of our students and prepare them to be successful adults in the world at large. If we focus on this common goal we can ensure that our school system continues to thrive. Jenn would be honored to play a role in that process.
