Local Non-profit and Service Organizations

In a continued effort to support our community during this time, we have compiled a list of local non-profit and service organizations that provide resources to those who may be in need, and which would also benefit from any and all support you may be able to offer. For your convenience, we’ve included a bit about the work they do, as well as a link to their websites.

💙Grace Farms:
At this pivotal moment, Grace Farms coalesced networks and leaders ranging from local businesswomen to kindred innovative foundations, global corporations and our local government to earnestly identify, source, and land legitimate PPE supplies in real time. Learn more here.

💙Americares:
Providing protective supplies along with other critical support and resources for frontline health workers and health centers. Learn more here.

💙New Canaan Community Foundation:
Established COVID-19 fund providing grants to local organizations including New Canaan Chamber of Commerce, Person to Person, area hospitals and care facilities as well as food pantries and rescue organizations to make sure those experiencing food insecurity have their needs met. New Canaan Community Foundation’s COVID-19 Response Fund mobilizes private resources to: support the emergency financial needs of New Canaan families and workers; help nonprofit organizations adapt to changing client needs, as well as shifts in operations; and support critical services in lower Fairfield County. Learn more here.

💙New Canaan Human Services (Including Food Pantry):
The mission of the Department of Human Services is to help all New Canaan residents to function optimally by developing programs and activities that address developmental needs, as well as helping residents obtain appropriate social services and resources. Learn more here.

💙Open Door Shelter:
Providing meals and shelter to those who are homeless in Norwalk, CT.
Learn more here.

💙Person to Person:
Providing emergency food assistance to those in need. In response to the COVID-19 situation, Person to Person is continuing to provide essential services to the most vulnerable in our community. As of April 24th, P2P is responding to the need to increase our capacity to serve Stamford residents and shifting food pantry services to operate out of two partner locations, and add an additional day of operations. These changes will permit us to have longer distribution hours, and allow for safe social distancing. These hours are being supplemented by home delivery to anyone requesting it.  Learn more here.

💙Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County:
Responding to those experiencing food insecurity in Stamford.
Learn more here.

💙Norwalk Community Health Center:
Caring for those who are sick regardless of legal status, insurance, or income.
Learn more here.

💙Our first responders and those at Norwalk Hospital, Stamford Hospital, and Greenwich Hospital who are caring for the sick in our area.
