Lucy Dathan has proudly served the residents of New Canaan and Norwalk since 2019 as the State Representative for the 142nd District — making history by winning a seat that had never before been held by a Democrat.

In the legislature, Lucy brings her financial expertise and problem-solving mindset to bear on the issues that matter most to her constituents. She currently serves as House Chair of the Government Oversight Committee and sits on the Appropriations and Human Services Committees. She also co-chairs a Medicaid Oversight Committee and serves on the Finance Advisory Committee, a select body of executive branch officials and legislators overseeing the state budget. In prior terms, she served as Vice Chair of the Appropriations, Human Services, and Insurance & Real Estate Committees across three legislative sessions.
